Cinema Therapy
In 2003 I told my friend Birgit Wolz about my ideas on Capturing the Soul. She’s a therapist who loves photos. I thought about working with her to develop workshops on looking at photos. She told me about wanting to work with movies in what she calls Cinema Therapy.
Birgit is someone who moves with an idea. Whereas Capturing the Soul has taken me six years to develop, Birgit immediately began writing her book E-Motion Picture Magic, a Movie Lover’s Guide to Healing and Transformation, Glenbridge Publishing, 2005.
Birgit does workshops on Cinema Therapy and incorporates it into group individual and group therapy in her Oakland, CA practice.

You can add your story. I wrote an entry in February 2005 when I was incredibly moved by the movies Before Sunrise and Before Sunset.
The book is available through http://www.cinematherapy.com/ or on http://www.amazon.com/
Hi! I am a Zastrow, which means I am half a Goodwin, yes Jerry and Merilyn are my grandparents. Nicolle Bangerter sent me your website and I love it! How neat to see family history other than in a pedigree chart! I am a college graduate in 4 weeks and I also learned to love art history, and all kinds of history. I never knew how much I would like it until college, but I appreciate it now. Thanks for putting our family’s history on this website!!!
